Responsibilities of a Durable Medical Equipment Technician As a durable medical equipment technician, you will play an integral role in working with new and existing clients to provide exceptional service and support, consistent with Sage Mobility’s culture and customer expectations.

Medical Equipment Technician Job Responsiblities

As a Medical Equipment Technician you will:

  • Receive DME Deliveries and Assemble for Showroom Floor
  • Load DME equipment at our Store/Showroom
  • Assist with Stairlift and Vertical Platform lift installation and Removals
  • Our customers who are aging or facing mobility issues so the candidate must present in a clean courteous manor, willing to patiently explain equipment and warranties.
  • Candidate must be detail oriented, able to problem solve and able to lift 45 lbs. Have some knowledge of electronics / mechanics is necessary.
  • Must be familiar with and able to use hand and power tools which are provided. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.

Other Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Safely load, secure, and delivers medical equipment to customers in a timely manner in accordance with company provided guidelines.
  • Returns medical equipment from customer account, safely transporting the equipment back to the Branch.
  • Properly inspects, clean, and tests equipment for functionality per Freedom Medical policies.
  • Resolves customer complaints or communicates to upper management to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Operate Company vehicles in a lawful manor in accordance with Freedom policies & procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for equipment in the warehouse, separate clean and returned dirty equipment.
  • Completes all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ships and receive medical equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains and projects confidence and a professional image.
